Zinfandel
Originally from the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia, this robust grape has distinguished itself among hundreds of Italian varietals under the name Primitivo in the Puglia region of Southern Italy. However, it is here in CA where this exalted variety has thrived in wide ranging climatic regions since first planted in the 1850’s. these areas provide diverse styles from the raspberry and cranberry flavors of the Russian River, Carneros and the high elevations of Mendocino to the blackberry, anise and pepper characteristics prevalent in the wines of the Sierra Foothills, Paso Robles, Contra Costa & Lodi. Ultimately the breath of flavors found in Zinfandel grants us the opportunity to offer a diverse menu of comfort and eclectic dishes. |
